Is Your Hair Heavily Tangled or Matted? Condition, Detangle, Shampoo & Condition
Service Description
If your hair is heavily tangled, matted or locked and cannot be safely separated, scissors may be necessary to remove affected areas. ASK YOURSELF: ✔ Is your hair long? ✔ Is your hair intertwining? ✔ Is your hair heavily tangled? ✔ Is it matted? ✔ Is it beginning to form locs? If you answered YES, professional detangling may be required before your hair can be washed and restyled. ________________________________________ 🌿 MAINTAINING HEALTHY NATURAL & PROTECTIVE STYLES To help maintain healthy natural hair and protective styles: ⏰ DON’T LEAVE A STYLE IN TOO LONG Avoid leaving your hair in one style for more than 8 weeks without proper take-down, cleansing and maintenance. 💧 USE A LIQUID PRODUCT Do not take down or undo a style while the hair is completely dry. Use a suitable liquid product such as: Water • Conditioner • Hair Oil This can help soften the hair and make the take-down process easier. 🪮 AVOID FINE-TOOTH COMBS Avoid using a fine-tooth comb when detangling heavily tangled hair. Use an appropriate wide-tooth comb or suitable detangling method. ✨ DON’T LEAVE HAIR UNSTYLED FOR TOO LONG Hair that is left unmanaged for extended periods can become increasingly tangled and may begin forming unwanted locs. ________________________________________ ⚠️ IMPORTANT: SEVERE MATTING Failure to maintain and regularly take down protective styles may result in: ❗ Severe matting at the roots or ends ❗ Difficult and time-consuming detangling ❗ Breakage and significant hair loss during take-down ❗ The possible need for a big chop or barber haircut where the hair cannot safely be separated Attempting to remove severe knots with scissors can result in uneven or choppy cuts and unnecessary hair loss. Our priority is always to protect as much healthy hair as reasonably possible. 🌱 RECOMMENDED HAIR-CARE ROUTINE Take Down • Cleanse • Condition • Restyle We recommend taking down protective styles approximately every 6 weeks. Styles left in for more than 8 weeks can increase the risk of severe matting and make detangling significantly more difficult. AFTER DETANGLING: 🧴 1. Wash Wash the hair thoroughly to remove product build-up and debris. 🪮 2. Detangle Gently Comb through the hair carefully using an appropriate detangling method. 💨 3. Dry Allow the hair to air dry or blow-dry before restyling. ✨ 4. Restyle Choose a suitable style that supports your ongoing hair-care routine. 📞 READY TO CARE FOR YOUR HAIR?
