Detangle
Shampoo hair after a detangle will clean trapped dirt and grime
Service Description
Conditioner and oil is used. If your hair is locked and cannot be seperated, then scissors will be used to clear knotted area(s). Is your hair long? Is it intertwining? Is it matted or forming locs? To maintain healthy natural or protective styles, please follow these important care guidelines: Do not leave your hair in one style for more than 8 weeks without clearing and cleaning. Do not take down or undo a style without using a liquid product (water, conditioner, or oil). Do not use a fine-tooth comb to detangle. Do not leave hair unstyled for long periods, as this can cause matting and unwanted loc formation. Failure to properly maintain and take down long-term styles can result in severely intertwined and matted hair forming locs at the roots. In such cases, the outcome may be unavoidable and can include: A big chop A barber haircut Choppy scissor cuts in an attempt to remove matting Significant hair loss while trying to retain what remains of the hair These outcomes often occur when hair is left too long without proper care, detangling, cleansing, and conditioning. Regular takedown, correct detangling methods, and consistent maintenance are essential to prevent excessive matting, breakage, and permanent damage. It is recommended to take down or undo your natural or protective hairstyle every 6 weeks. Leaving styles in for over 8 weeks can result in matting at the roots or ends and make detangling more difficult. During takedown or undoing: Use oil and conditioner to soften the hair cuticle and reduce damage and breakage. Finger detangle first, then use a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle before shampooing. After detangling: Wash the hair thoroughly. Apply a deep conditioning treatment (this step is necessary). Comb through gently. Allow hair to air dry or blow dry, then proceed to styling.
